Arlheinz Brandenburg was born June 20, 1954. He developed not only the mp3, but also the MPEG-2 Advanced Audio Coding. (still alive, cant find a death)He has had many awards including the Cross of the order of Merit of the Federal Repulblic of Germany. and also the IEEE Engineering Excellence award.In 2007, he was elected into the Consumer Electronic Hall of Fame. He is mainly a big person into our digital audio techonology, and is a pioneer for the coding of it, he was awarded around 100 patents.
He is also a big person in the music genre, if it wasnt for him we couldnt listen to our apple and spotify music.All of this is significant because he allowed many sounds and audios to be listened to on the go instead of needing to be there in person.
